Tricycle driver survives vigilante killing

There have been several cases recorded in various parts of the country, most were related to the illegal drug trade.

The fate of drug suspects are the same, they are kidnapped and tortured are found lifeless on sidewalks or grasslands.

But according to the report of GMA News' Pia Arcangel on "Saksi," a victim os summary killing was found in Mabitac, Laguna on Thursday wrapped in black garbage bag, arms tied together with duct tape. But this time, this drug suspect was alive.
The victim, Leonardo Ansay, survived being beaten up and torture committed by several men.
He related that he was onboard his tricycle and plying the roads of Tanay town in Rizal when he picked up a male passenger.

"May nakaparada nang kotse sa pinagbabaan ko.... pinalapit agad ako ng dalawang lalaki, sinakay ako sa kotse. Tapos piniringan ako ng mata," Ansay said, adding that he was brought to what looked like a hideout.

Showing his wounds and bruises, the tricycle driver said he was beaten up by several men while one pointed a gun at him.

"Sabi ng isa, hintayin natin si boss para masentensyahan na yan. Pinapili ako kung buhay o patay. sabi ko buhay," Ansay said, adding that he was brought to Mabitac town in Laguna.

However, they saw police officers doing surveillance work so just left left Ansay in a grassy area. He was found with a note stuck to his body. The note was torn up, that the words that could be deciphered were "--- sher pero hay..."

When Ansay was asked if he uses illegal drugs, he replied "gumagamit po paminsan-minsan."
He, however, denied being a drug pusher. He added that he already surrendered to authorities.
Ansay has no idea who were the men who nabbed him. And, he has yet to retrieve his tricycle.
From Mabitac town in Laguna, Ansay will be turned over to Tanay police, who will investigate the incident.
